Scientists at the Palmengarten publish scientific articles and also popular science publications for a wider audience. We publish the journal Der Palmengarten, Palmengarten Sonderhefte and the series Palmarum Hortus Francofurtensis.

Der Palmengarten

Since 2017, all issues from 2007 onwards of Der Palmengarten are also available online as pdf files. On the journal platform of the Frankfurt University Library, you can access all articles, search chronologically, by author and with free text search.

To the Library

Historical predecessor publications of our journal have also been digitised at the Frankfurt University Library and made available to the public:

Palmengarten-Mitteilungen (1935-1939)

Blumen und Palmen (1939-1941)

The journal Der Palmengarten is published twice a year.

  • Annual subscription: EUR 10.00
  • Single purchase: EUR 5.00
  • Available at the entrance cash desk

Accompanying our annual exhibitions, special issues are published, which you can also obtain, like Der Palmengarten journal, or purchase at the entrance cash desk.
