From Thursday, 1 October, the Palm House will open again its doors to visitors. It was closed since March, in the beginning for protection against corona, later on for preparations for the 150th anniversary of the Palmengarten 2021.
Now the visitors can walk through the venerable building again from Monday to Friday between 12 noon and 5 p.m. and on the weekends from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. In order to comply with the currently valid rules of distance, they move through the Palm House by means of a one-way street system.
Besides the Palm House, the Tropicarium and the Subantarctic House are also open. As in all closed rooms, it is necessary to wear a mouth and nose covering and to keep a minimum distance of 1.5 meters to protect against corona.
Only the upper floor of the entrance mall, where carnivorous plants, tillandsias and botanical rarities are displayed, remains inaccessible.
