From down-to-earth to high up: bromeliads

05.02.2023 11:00 - 12:30

Guided tour with Dr. Sebastian Lotzkat

Hardly any plant family is as typical of the American tropics as the bromeliads or pineapple plants. Their almost 4000 species are hard-spined and velvety-haired, forming fences on the ground and pools in treetops, colourful inflorescences and sweet fruits. Today we explore the whole variety of this versatile kin.
