What sounds deep from the boat pond and what acoustic signals can be followed towards the grotto? Do plants actually sounds or even make music? Who sounds there in the bamboo forest and does the Palmengarten have an acoustic memory from past decades? To these questions, the sound artist Lasse-Marc Riek, who had breathed life into the Palm House in 2019 with the extensive sound installation "SOUND DIALOGOUES", will transform various places throughout the Palm Garden and the Botanical Garden into sound places. For his sound places, Riek transfers inaudible sounds from the hidden underwater worlds, the hunting sounds of bats in the ultrasonic range, electrical voltages of plants and past sporting events in the Palmengarten into audible sound traces.
